Had anyone cold war/s (not on talking terms & ignore each other) with your spouse? How long did it last? What was the trigger?

A day or two for me.
I know a couple who had not spoken to each other (unless it absolutely necessary, say about kids tuition or something like that) for a month.

Longest is a day. It’s usually about PILs, kids or stress-related.

It is not advisable to have a cold war for more than 24 hours, the longer a period you dont talk to each other, the more difficult it is to mend the relationship.

I’ve only had arguments with my girlfriend that lasted a day. We try not to go to bed mad, but sometimes we do. Overall, though, we always get over our fights in 24 hours. Usually the fights are about dumb things- mainly chores. haha

Only once, triggered by a family outing. abt 2 days for me. it was a horrible 2 days though. I swore never to get into a old war again. worst than quarrel. Not worth it at all.

Communication is very important. Should have good chat with each other and learn to forgive and forget and move on.

My ex and I had ‘cold wars’ all the time. They were usually about just general incompatibility. She wasn’t interested in the same things as me. Our schedules never added up. We rarely spent time together because we had separate interests. They usually lasted a day or two- but sometimes lasted as long as 2 weeks. It was a really unhealthy relationship, though, and I wouldn’t want that everĀ again.
