I keep trying to break up with my boyfriend, but he always tries to take me back. I like the attention, so I end up going back- but I’m never actually happy when I do that. I always end up getting back into the same rut and we fight all of the time. He never leaves me alone. Constantly texts, calls, messages, emails, and even stops by my house! How can I get enough privacy to actually start getting over him?

It might be a good idea to block all contact from him. Block his number on your phone so he cannot text or call. Block his email address. And block him on all social medias. If he stops by your house and you feel harassed you can threaten to call the police- or file a restraining order. Depending on his profession this could be a way to scare him into leaving you alone entirely.

I would say you should try to move on and begin seeing other people. Once he sees that you are truly getting over him, he’ll probably be more likely to completely leave you alone and move on to other people himself. It doesn’t sound like the kind of relationship you want to stay in anyways…

  • Give anything of his that you have, back to him.
  • Temporarily block him on all social media apps.
  • Temporarily block his phone number or change yours.
  • Ask your friends and family for moral support.
  • Get rid of things that remind you of him.
  • Don’t lead him on- be honest with your views towards the relationship.
